Miley Cyrus is casual in a Chanel tee and Prada sunglasses, in this older picture of her. More recently, the singer/actress has appeared on the cover of Elle UK, looking edgy and chic in a vest worn on the skin. The 20 year old opened up about her relationship with Liam Hemsworth, while also addressing the rumors of their having trouble: We have a house together and dogs. It just seems right to be wearing this ring and to be committed. But we keep our relationship low-key and don’t talk about it any more,” she said. “We were too nice to the world and gave them too much insight — into my life and my puppies and my house –- and I just don’t feel they get that privilege any more,” Cyrus explains about becoming more private. “Like on my Twitter, I’m much more . . . not conservative, but you don’t see a picture of my dogs. You don’t get that personal stuff any more.” And who could blame her? Being a superstar definitely means losing most of your privacy, so why would someone just give it away?

Miley Cyrus dons her baroque Prada sunglasses with a Chanel t-shirt, red pants and an oversized studded bag. But everyone’s great concern is on Miley’s finger: where is her engagement ring? In just a few minutes, rumors that Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth called off the wedding appeared, with mysterious sources being quoted: “Miley and Liam are done; it’s over. She likes to party really hard and can be pretty wild. It became a problem for him” or “They have broken up before, and are broken up again now. There was drama because she suspected he had a wandering eye. And she recently tweeted a denial that he cheated.” Less dramatic sources believe that Cyrus simply took off her ring because of convenience: it’s hard to exercise or wash the dishes with a diamond on, and we know for a fact that the singer successfully does at least one of these two things.

Miley Cyrus‘ look is definitely far from the ol’ Hannah Montana. The singer/actress is often spotted in skinny jeans, animal print cropped tank, her blond short hair and Persol sunglasses, as pictured above. Most recently, Cyrus was seen in Ottawa with boyfriend Liam Hemsworth. Apparently, Hemsworth is working on a project there, but we’re not sure what it is yet. The witnesses said the couple were not prepared for the weather there, both lacking winter coats since they had just arrived from Costa Rica. The two had been on a romantic getaway on the beach, despite separation rumors in the press. The trip was also a celebration of the Hunger Games‘ actor 23 birthday, so his two brothers tagged along. Lots of traveling from the part of the young couple, who were recognized in a bookstore in Ottawa, and who, apparently, treated everyone really nicely.

In a white tank, sweat pants and Persol sunglasses, Liam Hemsworth looks like any other 22 year old. The Australian is more than that: him and Miley Cyrus posted a picture of them and the Christmas tree, and the new rings on their left hands instantly sparked rumors that they might have secretly married! Of course, these might be just rumors, since the new jewelry isn’t necessarily the wedding type. The two did spend their holidays together, attending a family gathering in Palm Springs the day after Christmas, and looking like the perfect couple. Next year, you can see Hemsworth in Empire State, Paranoia, and The Hunger Games: Catching Fire, while Cyrus will be focusing on her music.

Pictured here before “the cut”, Miley Cyrus is wearing a striped Chanel tee, a studded bag and Prada sunglasses, doing everything she can to step away from the Hannah Montana role and to show off her edgy style. Performing with DJ Borgore at the “Christmas Creampies” concert at the Fonda Theatre, and what she wore was nothing but racy. The singer went for skinny pants and animal print leg warmers, with a cropped top that showed lots of cleavage. Cyrus is all about showing her sexy side these days, since she discovered just how fun sex can be: “The girls that really base how much they’re worth on the sexual favors they can do for somebody, that makes me really sad. Because sex is actually really beautiful. It’s the only way we create, and it’s the only way the world keeps going,” she told the press. “[It] used to be if you’re a woman you do not sing about sex, and now if that’s not what you’re singing about, if that’s not your entire image, you won’t get played [on radio],” she said. The 20 year old is now getting ready for her wedding with Liam Hemsworth: “What I’m most excited for is that look when, you know, who you’re marrying, you see, the first time you’re seeing the dress and everything that you’ve planned for months and months, like, coming together, and that you did it together,” she told Ellen DeGeneres on her show. The TV host surprised her with male-strippers and an impromptu bachlorette party.

Miley Cyrus is almost unrecognizable in her super short blond hair, all black outfit and vintage Versace sunglasses. The former Disney star is rumored to be joining the cast of Two and A Half Men full time, kind of stealing Ashton Kutcher‘s spotlight, although he was suppose to be the one refreshing the show after Charlie Sheen‘s departure. But the 20 year old seems undecided about staying or going – like most 20 year olds are about everything in their lives. One thing’s for sure: Cyrus loves her doggies! ‘It’s mommmmmmy time!!!!!!!’ the actress/singer tweeted along with a bunch of pictures of herself and her rescue dogs. No less than four dogs were taken under Cyrus’ protective wing. She loves them so much that she allegedly made a pre-nup for fiance Liam Hemsworth to sign, stating that Cyrus will have custody of the dogs in case of divorce. What? Don’t worry, the contract also stipulates that Hanna Montana’s $130 million fortune will be safe.

Ever since she cut and bleached her hair, it looks like Hannah Montana has become a different person. And not just physically: this girl is independent and does whatever she wants! Nothing can come between her and her famous Twitter account, which is where she documented her haircut two months ago. Nothing – and not even fiance Liam Hemsworth! Miley Cyrus recently tweeted some personal stuff, showing that she’s not entirely satisfied with her relationship, which made the Hunger Games star to ask her to give up Twitter forever. The singer/actress has quit the microblogging platform before, when they started dating in 2009. This time, however, she doesn’t seem to be going anywhere. And why would she? Everything is going great for her: the actress is rumored to have gained the female lead in a Bonnie & Clyde TV mini series for Lifetime. You will also see her in a cameo role in Two and a Half Men this season.

On again off again couple Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth are apparently back on. Having wrapped up her uber popular and continuously sold out, Gypsy Heart Tour, Miley Cyrus seems glad to be slowing down her busy schedule and rekindling things with her hunky co-star, Liam. The evidence is piling up on the reunion–just this May, while filming the first of the highly-anticipated book-to-big-screen series, The Hunger Games, in Michigan, Liam flew to Columbia to see Miley. They were also spotted meeting at airports throughout South America and Australia between breaks on legs of her Gypsy Heart Tour. And, rather tellingly, the teen sensation took to Twitter to post romantic sentiments about Liam, repeatedly referring to him as “[my] man” and “[my] boo”. AND just last week, the newly reunited couple were spotted having dinner at a local Buffalo Wild Wings restaurant in Ann Arbor, MI, where he is still filming and she’s apparently taking a much-needed break.

Of course, there are more tweets: “In such a good place right now! So happy 2 finally enjoy what I’ve worked so hard for. Im loving & living MY life! No more BS.” Come to think of it, there’s certainly no BS in the way she’s rocking these white-hot, sporty-chic shield-style shades. –rpuccia

Miley Cyrus first started transitioning into a more adult image to shed the “innocent” teen idol rep she’d earned from starring in Hannah Montana back in 2008, and although she’s no Olsen twin, it seems like men across the globe were excited when she hit the big 1-8 last November. Not only did she grace FHM’s “100 Sexiest Women in the World” list—at number 89, if you’re curious—she was number 64 on Maxim’s  “Hot 100” in April.

Her days of switching from girl-next-door to rock star on the Disney Channel are over, but Miley’s personal life has been just as hectic. There were her breakups with Joe Jonas, Justin Gaston, and Liam Hemsworth, which would probably be enough to cause a lil’ heartbreak for any girl. In 2010, TMZ released a video of a then-16-year-old Miley giving The Last Song’s producer a lap dance at the film’s wrap party.  Her parents split and decided to divorce but then got back together after all, and let’s not forget the whole bong incident.

Born as Destiny Hope Cyrus, Miley’s parents gave her the nickname Smiley as an infant because she smiled so often. Smiley was eventually shortened to Miley, and voila! a star was born.
