In case you’ve been living under a rock and haven’t heard the news, Kate Hudson’s pregnant—and she’s already noticing differences in her body. The preggo cutie, who has starred in Raising Helen, How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days, Almost Famous and Bride Wars­—among other Hollywood hits— has confessed to the media that she’s feeling a lot different this time around compared to how she felt while she was expecting her 7-year-old son Ryder. (Ryder’s daddy is Kate’s ex-husband Chris Robinson; the new baby’s daddy is Kate’s current boyfriend Matt Bellamy.) “I’m pregnant, and I’m really sick. But I couldn’t say that because you really want to keep it as quiet as you can for the first trimester,” she said.

“It’s a really different pregnancy from the last one, which is funny to me,” the blonde beauty admitted in an interview. Ironically, she also confessed that her mom, 65-year-old Goldie Hawn, is looking great! “I saw her the other day and I thought, ‘How is my mother thinner than me? You’re thinner than me and you look better than I do. How is that possible? What’s going on?’”

Pregnancy news aside, Kate’s got the starring role in A Little Bit of Heaven, slated to hit theaters later this year. She plays Marley, a feisty, carefree advertising executive who is diagnosed with terminal cancer and falls for her hunky doctor as she has to accept the fact that she’s dying. The movie’s had less-than-stellar reviews and it hasn’t even hit theaters yet, but chances are Kate’s winning smile can help the flick pull through.
