Eva Longoria has a cafe latte in a khaki turtleneck and Yves Saint Laurent sunglasses. The Desperate Housewives actress covers Cosmopolitan for Latinas in Spring 2013, and she talks about the best advice her mother gave her: “My mother gave me one piece of advice that’s always stuck with me. Don’t forget where you came from,”the 37 year old says. She also speaks about growing up in a house with three sisters, and currently living with her gal pals in what might be taken for a sorority house. As her for political activity? “I’ve been studying the Constitution for myself but also as a way for me, as a Democrat, to comprehend the Right. I think it’s important that people who are politically active understand both sides. One of my biggest pet peeves is speaking out of ignorance.” On the cover of Cosmopolitan, Longoria looks dashing in a light blue strapless dress.

Eva Longoria looks a bit uncomfortable in this picture, but fortunately, the white top, red bag and Dolce&Gabbana sunglasses do her justice. The actress is just getting out of her salon, where she had her hair done. This same week, Longoria took to Twitter to raise an issue: “#iserve to help Latinas get a better education. Join me for National Day of Service on Saturday!” The National Day of Service honors Martin Luther King, and the Desperate Housewives actress takes example from the Obama family promoting this day. “It’s a very broken system,” Longoria says about the immigration system in The States. “I think Republicans are coming around to the idea that they’re going to have to compromise with the president on a lot of issues, immigration being one of them.” The Hispanic actress continued: “What I am hopeful about is that this administration, and particularly President Obama, sees that immigration is an economic issue. It’s also, for me, a humanitarian issue.”  Longoria was a co-chair for Obama’s reelection, and, of course, she was present at the inauguration party.

Even in her hit role in Desperate Housewives, Eva Longoria was always the sexy one. Her latest photo shoot, for Mexico GQ, shows the 37 year old actress looking hotter than ever, in racy lingerie and smokey eyes. But the Hispanic hottie thinks of herself as more than just a pretty face, telling the public that she’d rather be remembered for her personality (like any beautiful woman sometimes says). “I hope people perceive me as beautiful in everything I do in relation to works of charity and philanthropy or political activism,” she tofd GQ. “For me, those are the things that define beauty. The beauty lies mainly on personality, not on skin.” And despite her charity work, she feels like she’s not doing enough for the world: “My mother raised four daughters (one of whom has special needs), worked as a teacher and every day, at 6:00 pm, cooked dinner for my dad and for us, and every morning we also had the breakfast. So I see my mother and think, ‘I’m not doing enough.’” Eva Longoria looks very intellectual and charitable in the above picture, wearing a pair of Ray Ban sunglasses which complement her dark locks and skin tone.

37 year old Eva Longoria has a lot on her mind right now. Like, for example, the scandal she provoked by retweeting an offensive message. ” I have no idea why any woman/minority can vote for Romney. You have to be stupid to vote for such a racist/misogynistic twat” said the message that the actress and Obama campaign co-chair retweeted and then deleted quickly, later trying to blame it on the social network’s malfunction. She later apologized, saying she respects all Americans, regardless of their political views. Sure, it’s easy to delete a tweet, but it’s not that easy to delete a tattoo! The Hispanic actress is trying to remove all memories of her ex-husband, Tony Parker, from her body, by undergoing laser treatment. Her tattoos included his jersey number nine, the date of their wedding on her wrist and Parker’s initials – all of which have slowly become painful memories. The couple divorced two years ago, after sings of unfaithfulness from the basketball player’s part.
