We already knew Tyra Banks has beauty and brains thanks to the success of her endeavors under her very own company Bankable Productions. A supermodel, TV host, NY Times Best Selling author, and actress, Tyra can now add Ivy League grad to her long list of accomplishments. The America’s Next Top Model creator and host has just graduated with a certificate from the Owner/President Management Program at the prestigious Harvard Business School in Cambridge, Massachusetts. Tyra–who actually dropped out of Loyola Marymount University to pursue modeling at age 17–said she enrolled in the Ivy League program to better her brand. “In order for my company to grow and be the best, and to reach these women, and to serve them, I needed the best…So I went to the best.” At 38, Tyra admitted that her decision to pursue higher education was met with skepticism at first. “When people have low expectations, you’re just constantly going, ‘Ta-da!’ And they’re like ‘Wow!’” she said.
To add to the great news, the CW has just ordered a 19th season of ANTM, which is slated to be a co-ed/college edition, according to The Hollywood Reporter. The 18th season, themed the “British Invasion,” premieres tomorrow, Feb. 29 at 9/8c on the CW and features British models pitted against American contestants.
