Taylor Swift wins at the Fragrance Foundation Awards 2013, looks stunning

Jessica Szohr and Dita Von Teese are also on the best dressed list at the New York event.

The Fragrance Foundation Awards have a history of over 40 years, having been celebrated in New York since 1973. The awards honor creative excellence and achievement in the field of fragrances, and yesterday was a big night for everyone in the industry. Lincoln Center’s Alice Tully Hall was the location of the event, and the red carpet was filled with glamorous celebrities such as Taylor Swift, Dita Von Teese, Jessica Szohr or Connie Britton. Among them, Taylor Swift was honored with the award for Fragrance Celebrity of the Year, and she looked stunning while collecting her prize, in a white, sleeveless Emilio Pucci gown, with Lorraine Schwartz jewelry and Rene Caovilla heels. Light colors were very popular that evening, as Dita Von Teese picked a cream Maria Lucia Hohan dress (with Saint Laurent shoes), and Jessica Szohr went for silver flowers.

The winning perfumes of the night were Florabotanica Balenciaga Paris for Women’s Luxury Fragrance of the Year, DOT Marc Jacobs for Women’s Prestige Fragrance of the Year, Girlfriend Justin Bieber for Women’s Popular Fragrance of the Year, Tom Ford Noir  for Men’s Prestige Fragrance of the Year, James Bond 007 for Men’s Popular Fragrance of the Year and Colonia Intensa Oud Acqua Di Parma for Men’s Luxury Fragrance of the Year. Dolce&Gabbana got the awards in both men and women for Media Campaign of the Year (with Pour Femme and The One For Men Sport), while the consumer’s awards went to Girlfriend Justin Bieber and Acqua di Gio.

2013 CMT Awards Red Carpet & Winners

Starting off from the purple carpet replacing the red one, the show was full of surprises.

The 2013 CMT Awards were all the rage in Nashville, Tennessee on Wednesday night. With special guests like Lenny Kravitz and Nelly, the awards were what one would call a great success. Starting off from the purple carpet replacing the red one, the show was full of surprises – some fashionable, and some just heart-felt.

In the heart-felt category, it’s hard not to mention Carrie Underwood‘s performance, who dedicated her song, See You Again, to the victims of the tornados in Oklahoma, her native state. It was very emotional, with visuals from the recent catastrophe as a backdrop, and especially when considering that the country singer donated $1 million from her latest tour to the American Red Cross, in aid of the tornado victims.

At the CMT Awards, Underwood got Video of the Year (for Blown Away), for the second year in a row, and for the fourth time in the history of the awards. Another big winner was Miranda Lambert as Female Video of the Year and Performance Video of the Year. The Over You singer got another award, in the form of a kiss from Lenny Kravitz, which she mentioned during her acceptance speech. Florida Georgia Line, Tyler Hubbard and Brian Kelley, Jason Aldean, Lady Antebellum and Blake Shelton all won awards during the evening.

When it comes to fashion, the guests turned out to be more stylish than one would expect from a country event. But with people like Taylor Swift around, the bar was raised. The Everything Has Changed singer wore a high-low Elie Saab dress, strapless and embellished, with Jimmy Choo lace peep toes and Neil Lane jewelry. Nicole Kidman accompanied her country-singing husband, Keith Urban, wearing an understated little black dress by Christian Dior with white heels by the same designer – and they looked perfectly paired. We also loved the cute AnnaSophia Robb in a Georges Chakra Couture backless dress and nude B Brian Atwood shoes with sparkly ankle straps. Many were amazed by Sheryl Crow‘s stylish appearance, in a Willow dress and golden platform sandals by Saint Laurent. Which one was your favorite?

Taylor Swift poses in a pair of polka dot pants, with a fitted sweater and white, cat eye Tom Ford sunglasses. The singer just launched the ad for  new perfume, Taylor by Taylor Swift. This is her second one, after Wonderstruck Enchanted in 2011. “Taylor by Taylor Swift is a mix of a lot of things – it’s sweet, it’s sophisticated, it draws you in – it’s really my way of translating classic, yet modern, into a perfume,” Swift said about the new fragrance. The ad features Swift in a white, rustic outfit and setting, while the perfume bottle is transparent, with a hing of gold and a spherical stop. It’s been also released that the perfume “takes a page out of Taylor’s style handbook mixing a cool retro print with sophisticated pearls for an effortlessly chic look.” That sounds intriguing and fun! If you’re excited about it, know that the new scent will be available in stores this June!

Taylor Swift is cute as ever in a peter pan collar animal print top, a burgundy skirt, flats and Ray Ban sunglasses. The singer recently released a new single, called “22″, but not everyone was as excited about it as her fans. Conan O’Brien, for example, has a totally different idea about what it’s like to be 22, and it’s nothing like Swift’s version. “When you’re 22, you’re not living in that apartment. You’re living in a crappy, $380/month apartment in Los Angeles. I didn’t see any ramen noodles in that video, cause that’s all you’re eating when you’re 22″, and he goes on for a few minutes, talking about his own experience at the age. However, it’s not what O’Brien thinks, but what the general opinion is: Swift just won eight Billboard awards last week: “You are the longest and best relationship I ever had,” she told the crowd, referencing all her heartbreak songs.

We’ve got some good news for the singer’s fans, as well as for those of New Girl: Swift will make a guest appearance in the season finale of the Fox TV show, playing an important guest at Cece’s Indian wedding. The episode airs on May 14th, and we’re seriously excited to see it! Margo Martindale recently made an appearance on the same show, which makes us think they’ve got a whole lot of surprises coming for season 3. Other stars that joined the case of New Girl are Jamie Lee Curtis, Olivia Munn, and Dennis Farina. Taylor Swift, who is currently touring across the USA, has previously appeared in a 2009 episode of CSI and has hosted Saturday Night Live. We’re pretty sure music is her thing, and she’ll stick to it.

The singer, who covers Vanity Fair this month, revealed that she only dated two people in the past three years: Harry Styles and Conor Kennedy. The 23 year old chose not to speak about these relationships herself, but named a friend who would talk on her behalf. The source says that she’s been hurt by older guys, but couldn’t get what she wanted out of young guys either. Swift says: “For a female to write about her feelings, and then be portrayed as some clingy, insane, desperate girlfriend in need of making you marry her and have kids with her, I think that’s taking something that potentially should be celebrated—a woman writing about her feelings in a confessional way—that’s taking it and turning it and twisting it into something that is frankly a little sexist.”

If something is done, it’s done.” She did, however, sing about all of them! Or, at least, that’s what we thought: “To me it’s just writing songs the way I always have. It’s me sitting on my bed feeling pain I didn’t understand, writing a song, and understanding it better. If people want to dissect the lyrics, that’s their right, but it’s all coming from the exact same place as where I started. It’s just something I do to feel better.”

The singer and her boyfriend Harry Styles (New Direction) started 2013 with a kiss, after her performance at Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve With Ryan Seacrest. Swift (23) and Styles (18) shared a kiss and a hug in Times Square, while kept safe by the bodyguards. The pair spent their Christmas holiday with another famous teen couple, Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez, on a ski trip in Utah’s Canyons Resort. Swift also visited Holmes Chapel, England, Styles’ hometown, and met his family earlier this winter. Pictured here in her signature red lip and Ray Ban sunglasses, the blonde singer seems to be finally having some happy days from a romantic point of view.
