Can you imagine Carrie Bradshaw in high school? You may not have to ‘cuz according to multiple reports, The CW network has bought The Carrie Diaries’ project – a Sex and The City prequel based on Candace Bushnell’s book about Carrie’s time as a high school prep. The show is being developed by Gossip Girl producers Josh Schwartz and Stephanie Savage and according to Entertainment Weekly, the series could end up on the air by next fall. Warner Bros. TV, which owns the rights to the The Carrie Diaries, is reportedly working out a deal that would allow the series to use characters and elements from the hit HBO series. Samantha Jones is featured in Bushnell’s book, but Miranda Hobbes and Charlotte York – along with the rest of Carrie’s circle of friends – are not. As of now, HBO series creator Darren Star and Sarah Jessica Parker are not attached to the project and, of course, reps for The CW and Warner Bros. are declining to comment on the matter.

But SJP is giving her blessing to the younger “Carrie”. Access Hollywood caught up with her at the premiere of her new film, I Don’t Know How She Does It (hits theaters this Friday), in New York City where she shared her thoughts on reports that The Carrie Diaries is coming to The CW. “I think it’s wonderful that people want to hear Carrie’s story, and I understand,” the actress told Access. “Peter Roth, [President of Warner Bros. TV,] is smart and wonderful and funny and I’m sure it will be in excellent hands.” Here, the gracious SJP is out and about in usual diva-style form in these glam Christian Dior shades, available in four frame hues.  –rpuccia

Forbes just announced their annual list of the 10 highest-paid actresses in Tinseltown and tying at the top of the list (drum roll, please),  Angelina Jolie and Sarah Jessica Parker, who each earned an estimated $30 million.  Angelina, of course, has established her bankability as an actress who can easily handle action, drama, and even directing. Her two big-budget 2010 action movies included Salt and The Tourist. The latter, which co-starred Johnny Depp, initially looked like it was going to be a flop after a weak opening weekend box-office haul of $16 million. But thanks mostly to the overseas market, the film went on to earn $280 million, cementing Jolie’s appeal abroad. And she wrote and directed the upcoming film In the Land of Blood and Honey, a romance set against the backdrop of the Bosnian War.

But many question how SJP got to the top of the coveted list. Well, she still makes most of her cash off of Sex and the City, earning big dollars from reruns of the cable TV show thanks to her dual role as star and producer. The second movie, which hit screens in 2010, performed well, though it wasn’t as big a hit as the first movie (which earned $415 million) but it brought in a very respectable $290 million.  True to the values of our beloved Carrie Bradshaw, Sarah’s become a fashion/beauty icon–which equates to big-money endorsements and her mega-successful line of perfumes including Lovely, Covet, and NYC, which brought in a whopping $18 million in 2010. She also recently started helping design clothes for the fashion line Halston. In true icon fashion, she works a pair of glam oversized Dolce & Gabbana shades in her fave shield-style frame shape.  –rpuccia

SJP is quite simply put, a fashion icon. It hasn’t always been this way–she was the antithesis of a fashionista in one of her first-ever TV roles – the sitcom Square Pegs.  She became our fave Jimmy Choo stiletto-lovin’ Sex in the City diva over 25 years later. These days she’s busy behind the camera as producer for the popular Bravo series Work of Art: The Next Great Artist–which pits contemporary artists against each other for the chance at a solo exhibition. The show drew in 1.48 million viewers and a rep for the series confirms Bravo has renewed it for a second season. She’s also on the run with her brood of three kids–James Wilkie, 8, and her year-old surrogate-delivered twins, Marion Loretta Elwell and Tabitha Hodge. As usual, she lights up the camera in uber-stylish, yet sophisticated black shield sunglasses which perfectly set off her mixed-print, black and white ensemble and ribbon-tied booties. SJP is right on all the time.  –rpuccia

SJP’s acting career took a seriously ironic turn, going literally from pimples and ponytails to Prada in one fell swoop. At 17, she gained attention as the nerdy and awkward teen, Patty Greene,  on the early ’80s CBS sitcom Square Pegs. But she is best known for her ultra-glamtastic role as Carrie Bradshaw in the HBO series, now blockbuster films, Sex and the City. She captured four Golden Globe Awards, three Screen Actors Guild Awards, and two Emmy Awards for her portrayal as the NYC diva-worthy writer and upstoppable fashionista. WIth Sex and the City 2 just hitting theaters a couple weeks ago, she continues her flawless style statements in the film in these classic aviator  Ray Ban shades, complete with chic head scarf. On the red carpet or big screen, the more we get to see SJP work it the better.  –rpuccia
