Matthew’s one hot papa. It seems like there’s a shot of him in the tabloids every week working out near his Malibu home–we especially love it when he’s shirtless! He met his lucky partner, Brazilian model and TV personality Camila Alves, in 2006 and they have two children, son Levi Alves McConaughey, 2, and daughter Vida Alves McConaughey, 13 months. On the red carpet at the Oscars, he gushed about his baby girl: “Vida plays right to her daddy’s weaknesses. She’s definitely a daddy’s girl.”
His next film–The Lincoln Lawyer–hits theaters this Friday and his performance has already been heralded by the critics. He stars opposite Marisa Tomei, Ryan Phillippe, John Leguizamo, and William H. Macy as Michael “Mick” Haller, a slick Los Angeles criminal defense attorney who operates out of the back of his Lincoln sedan. Mick has spent most of his career defending petty, gutter-variety criminals, but he unexpectedly lands the the case of his career: defending Louis Roulet, a rich Beverly Hills playboy accused of rape and attempted murder. But the seemingly straightforward, big-money case suddenly develops into a deadly game between two masters of manipulation and a crisis of conscience for Mick.
