With so many “frivilous” break-ups in Hollywood as of late, it can be refreshing to think that enviable power couples like Seal and Heidi Klum could have some staying power. NOT! The pair who seemed the unlikeliest to call it quits have, in fact, just announced that their marriage is coming to an end. In a statement Sunday night, the couple announced their separation after rumors ran rampant over the weekend that a divorce was on the docket. “While we have enjoyed seven very loving, loyal and happy years of marriage, after much soul searching we have decided to separate,” the joint statement read. “We have had the deepest respect for one another throughout our relationship and continue to love each other very much, but we have grown apart.” The statement went on to say the split is an amicable process and protecting the well-being of their children remains the top priority.
The couple married in 2005 and has four children together, including the supermodel’s daughter from a previous relationship. They were one of Hollywood’s most high-profile couples and seemed to have a rock-solid relationship, even renewing their wedding vows on each anniversary. “It’s true and it’s a sad end to the fairytale,” sources told Access Hollywood.
