Justin Bieber’s song “Baby” is one of his biggest hits, but you’ve probably heard that there’s a new baby causing the teen heartthrob to make scandalous headlines. A 20-year old mother is claiming that the Biebs is her 3-month old’s baby daddy. The (former?) fan, Mariah Yeater, claims that she was taken backstage by a security guard to meet Justin, who was 16 years old at the time, at the Staples Center in L.A. after a concert. The pair supposedly got a little frisky after Justin took her someplace private. She has filed a paternity suit against him in San Diego Superior Court, asking for a paternity test and financial support if it turns out he’s the daddy. Ironically, the baby mama could get in legal trouble if it turns out the baby is a Bieber. Since Justin was a minor at the time and Mariah was 19, she could be charged with statutory rape, a misdemeanor with punishment of up to a year in jail.
The Biebs is denying everything and trying to distance himself from the entire thing. “It’s crazy. Every night after the show I’m gone right from the stage right to the car, so it’s crazy that some people want to make such false allegations,” he said during an appearance on the NBC Today show this morning. He was there to promote his new album Under the Mistletoe and was asked about the, uh, situation. “Never met the woman. None of the allegations are true,” he emphasized. Lindsay, Lindsay, Lindsay … you might be 25 now, but when are you going to grow up? Apparently not anytime soon. She’s had a few different run-ins with the law, including being placed on house arrest after she was found guilty of stealing a necklace from a jewelry store. (LiLo pleaded no contest.) Just this week she was sentenced to 30 days in jail and 400 hours of community service for violating her probation—Linds was playing hooky from the therapy sessions that were required by the court and she was kicked out of L.A.’s Downtown Women’s Center, where she was doing community service. Her new community service gig? The L.A. County Morgue.
Officials from the sheriff’s department told one media outlet that she’ll likely only serve a few days in jail since misdemeanor inmates typically serve 20 percent of their sentence due to overcrowding, but if she skips out on community service and therapy this time around she’ll be arrested and sent to the slammer for 270 days. Audrina Patridge can sleep a bit easier at night. Looks like Rachel Lee, the ringleader of the so-called “Bling Ring,” a group comprised of SoCal teens that burglarized the homes of Hollywood celebs—including Audrina’s—and stole roughly $3 million in cash and belongings, was sentenced to four years in state prison. According to E! Online, Lee entered a plea of no contest last month for the February 2009 break-in of Audrina’s place, when she snatched more than $25,000 in jewelry and a designer suitcase jam-packed with Audrina’s clothes, boots, and accessories. The Bling Ring has also been accused of similar heists at Paris Hilton’s, Lindsay Lohan’s, Megan Fox and Brian Austin Green’s pads, among others.
On a brighter note, Audrina recently updated her ‘do from blonde to brunette. She’s actually a natural blonde (kinda rare in Hollywood!) who confessed to US Weekly that she made the change because, “I miss being a brunette. Undeniably hunky Darren Criss tackled the lead role of Harry Potter in the musical productions A Very Potter Musical and A Very Potter Sequel, but he currently portrays openly-gay high school student Blaine Anderson on the Fox hit Glee. This hottie “Warbler” might seem like an overnight sensation, but Darren began taking violin lessons as a child and eventually mastered the guitar, cello, piano, mandolin, and drums as well. Well-known for her humanitarian efforts, the female half of the world’s favorite superstar couple visited Libya last week. “I have come to Libya for a variety of reasons, to see a country in transition at every level and to witness efforts to fully realize the promise of the Arab Spring,”Angelina Jolie told global news agency Reuters. The two-day trip to Libya was a personal visit, but when she’s not acting in blockbuster hits, playing mom to her brood of six (Maddox, Pax, Zahara, Shiloh, Knox, and Vivienne) or snuggling up with Brad Pitt, she serves as an ambassador for the United Nations refugee agency UNHCR.
On the home front, Angie and Brad have put one of their mansions on the market. (Yes, one of their mansions! Can you even imagine?!) The gorgeous Malibu pad, which is set into a hillside overlooking the Pacific, is listed at a cool $13.75 million. The 4100 square foot property has private beach access and consists of two separate houses, a pool, tennis court, and gardens. Considering that they were just named the third highest-earning couple in Hollywood by Forbes just behind Gisele Bunchen and Tom Brady and Beyonce and Jay-Z, money worries certainly aren’t the reason the super-couple has listed the home for sale. It was tough to miss Whitney Port at New York’s Fashion Week last month, thanks to her bold outfits. The Hills alum / fashion designer is hard to miss under normal circumstances since she’s so gorgeous to begin with, but she made quite a statement stepping out in the Big Apple wearing an olive green blouse with a bright A-line yellow skirt—definitely a daring combination. It was also a total 180 from the outfit Whit was photographed sporting in L.A. last week, a baggy blue tee and what appeared to be pajama pants. Guess that’s proof that even the stars have their moments.
When asked about the inspiration for her latest design collection, Whitney told the press, “This lifestyle of the L.A. girl mixed with the New York girl, which is what I find myself being constantly,” and even offered a bit of style advice for all us regular, non-jet-setting girls out there. “It’s not necessarily about what everyone else is wearing or what’s on trend or what the celebrities are wearing. Royal wedding fever has—thankfully—died down, but Kate Middleton’s sis Pippa is still causing a media frenzy months after she came close to stealing the bride’s thunder on the big day in her white curve-hugging Alexander McQueen gown.
