Alexa Chung in Ray Ban eyeglasses

If anyone can rock geek chic glasses, that person is Alexa Chung! The 28 year old fashionista donned a pair of Ray Ban eyeglasses and a horse pendant over a black dress recently, and she looked great as ever. With a Mulberry bag named after her and a collaboration line with Madewell, Chung also has a column in British Vogue and is hosting 24 Hour Runway on the Lifetime channel. The former model still gets the time to be the face of Superga sneakers and Lacoste’s Joy of Pink fragrance. But how does she cope with being the it girl of the moment for a few good years now? Tough to say. According to Celebuzz, she’s one of the 25 women that changed the way we dress, along with Diane von Furstenberg, Audrey Hepburn or Coco Chanel, so that’s even more pressure to be always ahead of the trends and dressed to the nines. But, as long as there’s a sit in the front row at every fashion show for Chung, we think she’ll do alright!

Jamie Bell in Prada sunglasses

British actor Jamie Bell has been in the bizz for 12 years, but this is his first gig as a model. As you probably know by now, Prada used various actors for the presentation of their menswear fall-winter 2012, and it looks like they’ve decided on an actor for the ad campaign as well. Bell is donning a white turtleneck with a white shirt and blazer, looking sharp with his round sunglasses with a metallic nose bridge. The 26-year old Tin Tin actor is now again involved with actress and former Marilyn Manson fiancee, Evan Rachel Wood, and the two seem to be having a blast wherever they go together – they’ve even been seen riding their bikes in Los Angeles’ beachfront neighborhood, Venice, earlier this month. The couple have been together before, after meeting on the set of a Green Day video back in 2005 and getting matching tattoos, which was followed by a five year split. Although romance is in full bloom right now, Bell has a busy acting schedule to keep up with: Filth, Snowpiercer, Nymphomaniac Fighting Jacob and even a new Tin Tin movie are all in filming, post-production or announced for the following year.

40 year old Jennifer Garner has been married to Ben Affleck seven years now, and the couple have three kids together. Invited on Ellen DeGeneres’ show, Garner was asked if she plans on having more kids, to which she replied jokingly: “No, I plan to be done… but my husband is a wonder sperm kinda guy… I mean just have a look at him!” She’s been humorously telling the public about her not-so-perfect parenting skills: “I don’t know if it’s because he’s a boy … I don’t know if it’s because he’s my third and I forget that I have him … you know, you’re dealing with two, and then you think “Oh I put a baby down … I swear I put a baby down” … and you walk through the house and there he is … just happy as can be!” Affleck, on the other hand, is a tea party enthusiast according to his wife, and he’s great with playing with the girls (Violet, 6, and Seraphina, 3).

Donning a flattering straw-yellow dress, with purple flats, a black blazer and Tory Burch sunglasses, 27-year old Freida Pinto is a total stunner. The actress, who became famous with Slumdog Millionaire, who was previously engaged to her publicist Rohan Antao until 2009, was living with co-star Dev Patel until recently, and they were planning on moving to the suburbs of Mumbai together. However, the rumors are that the couple split. Apparently, Patel, 21, thinks he’s too young to marry, so both of them will just focus on their careers. For Pinto, that includes the romance Knight of Cups and the biographical drama Desert Dancer in 2013. Moreover, Pinto has lots of support from the fashion crowd, including the pretentious Karl Lagerfeld, so features in the field are not excluded.

The 46-year old actress with an Oscar at home, Halle Berry, is not just about looks and Hollywood glam. Berry is one of the inspirational women who put their fame to good use: along with younger actress Emma Stone, she recently took part of a Revlon campaign. But the campaign is not lipstick or foundation: it’s raising cancer awareness and prevention. Women are encouraged to talk about this problem instead of hiding it. This is not Berry’s only TV spot at the moment, as Cloud Atlas has it’s first video released to the public. The sci-fi movie stars, besides Halle Berry, Tom Hanks, Susan Sarandon and Hugh Grant and it’s going to be in theaters next February. Between all these projects, the actress still found time to support her husband Oliver Martinez at his latest premiere. “Cybergeddon” is a thriller mini-series that will only be available on the Internet, moving away from the traditional theaters. The producer told The Daily Mail: “I wanted to do a movie that was free globally in 25 countries and 10 languages around the world anytime, anywhere, on any device”.

Nicole Kidman never fails to look stunning on the red carpet, and her Emmy 2012 look just confirmed it. The Antonio Berardi gown that she wore looked even better than on the runway on the 45 year old actress, who accessorized it with Fred Leighton jewels. Kidman walked the red carpet hand in hand with husband Keith Urban, whom she’s been married to for 6 years. She was nominated for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Miniseries or Movie for her HBO film “Hemingway & Gellhorn,” and even though she didn’t get the award, she was still one of the best appearances of the evening. And with Urban officially named one of the judges of American Idol, Kidman revealed that she’ll be spending more time in the States and especially backstage of the show next year. Until then, Kidman told the press that she’s acting in France, playing Grace Kelly, and that all the L.A. sun isn’t good for her character’s pale complexion.

Blogger Leandra Medine of The Man Repeller is on a roll! After a small scandal at the beginning of the year (how can a man repeller get married? the public asked) she is doing better than ever with fashion collaborations galore and one of the most successful blogs online. The 23-year old is finally having her first design job, in a collaboration with the clothing brand PJK, for a line called Man Repeller x PJK…Just Sayin’, which will retail at prices between $198 to $398. The blogger also had a fabulous gig recently, one that we envy: styling a Marc Jacobs shoot for Moda Operandi. What’s more, Medine is writing a book that we’re pretty excited about reading – “It’s based on the notion that the female memory is so driven by fashion. I can tell you exactly what I was wearing when I met my husband, when he first broke up with me, when we got back together.” The book is scheduled to come out this month. 26 year old Irina Shayk has appeared in every annual Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue since her debut in modelling, 5 years ago. Her unusual beauty landed her campaign after campaign with Intimissimi, Guess, Victoria’s Secret, Lacoste and Armani Exchange, and she’s also been in a Kayne West video in 2010. That was a good year for her, as she met her boyfriend Christiano Ronaldo back then. And while she still loves a good lingerie spread, like the one she recently did for underwear brands Lascana and La Clover, Shayk is taking her career to the next level. The model is the new host of Russia’s Next Top Model, and she tweeted: “I am so happy to be a host of new season Russia’s next top model!” So are we! It takes a true model to know what the industry is all about and to know how to advice the aspiring models from back home. We wonder what celebrities think when they find they have similar fashion taste with another celebrity: are they pissed, are they excited? Between 18-year old Dakota Fanning and 27-year old Katy Perry, we can’t tell who would be envious on who: they’re both at the peak of their careers, appreciated style icons and beautiful women. However, we must admit Fanning was a bit lazy wearing her Prada sunglasses to the gym – with layered tops and the obligatory water bottle.  Perry took them for a way more fashionable spin, as she attended a Miu Miu show in a Prada dress, purse and sandals. To compromise, we think they’d both be into the black collar Limi Feu dress  with Prada sandals and purse. As it turns out, Fanning’s red carpet style is way better than this, as she attended the movie premiere of “Now is Good” in a fabulous sequin gown that amazed the crowd. About Perry, her friend and hair stylist says: “She’s so rock and roll, she’s got her guitar; she’s always had that undertone, so I think it’ll probably go in this direction.”‬
