Lucy Hale in Ray Ban sunglasses

23-year old Lucy Hale has just attended the opening of Henri Bendel at the Fashion Show Mall this week in Las Vegas. Together with Chris Fiore, president of the designer jewelry company, she celebrated the new boutique by cutting the ribbon. The Pretty Little Liar looked youthful in a mix of high street brands and designer pieces, with a floral top and faux leather skirt, nude high heels and a pair of Ray Ban aviators hung at the neckline. The show that brought her fame just premiered its season finale, leaving us hanging about the revealing of “A”‘s identity. Meanwhile, Hale is pretty positive about getting a role in the movie version of “50 Shade of Gray.” She says:“People have said that [I should be cast as Ana], but others have also said [I should star as] her little sister instead, which I think could also make sense … Because I do look a little young for Ana, but what a big role to take on! I’m really curious to see how it’s all going to [happen],” according to MTV News.

It’s time for punk princess Avril Lavigne to walk down the isle for the second time in six years! The former “sk8″ girl was married to Sum41 lead singer from 2006 till 2009, as the two married when she was just 21. At the time, Lavigne had doubts whether she should go for a goth wedding or for something traditional, and in the end she chose the latter. Now 27, the singer takes the leap in a more mature way. Or does she? She’s only dated Nickelback frontman Chad Croeger since February of this year, and the singer already popped the question! The couple appears on the cover of the September 10 issue of Hello Canada, showing off the 14K diamond ring on Lavigne’s finger. So far, they kept the relationship pretty low profile, but it appears that they fell in love instantly, as they were co-writing a song for Avril’s next album. Moreover, it appears that both their families approve and that the lovebirds are very happy with their decision. Croeger, who is 10 years older than Lavigne, hasn’t been married before and is looking forward to family life.

Two voluptuous ladies donning the same pair of sexy cat eye shaped sunglasses: 44 year old Salma Hayek and 27 year old Scarlett Johansson. Both actresses are petite and both of them have a thing for vintage inspired fashion. It’s no wonder, since 1950s fashion valued curvy women like these two! We couldn’t decide which one wore the Tom Ford sunglasses best, but we were inspired by their pictures to pair the cat eye shades with a gray jacket, heeled booties and a python bag, and finish the look with a bold red lip. That looks like something both of them would like, right? Hayek and Johansson both have exciting projects coming up in theaters this year: Hayek will star in Here Comes the Boom (premiere October 12th) and Johansson can be seen as a brunette in sci-fi Under the Skin.

Kate Hudson in Ray Ban sunglasses

33 year old Kate Hudson has made quite the appearances lately. Pictured above, the actress is rocking a Gucci suit at the Venice International Film Festival in Italy, accessorized with a Bvlgari golden jewelry and Ray Ban aviators. Another appearance at the same festival, for the premiere of her movie Reluctant Fundamentalist, showed the blond in a spectacular champagne gown, as she walked the red carpet with fiancee Matt Bellamy. What else is new in Hudson’s life? A cameo role in Glee, that’s what! You’ll be seeing more of the Golden Globe winner this fall in the popular TV show. Hudson will play dance teacher Cassandra July, and the promotional pictures really do her legs justice, in fishnet stockings and an asymmetrical dress. The actress will appear in six episodes of the new series. Also having a cameo role this season is Sarah Jessica Parker, who plays a Vogue employee.

Jessica Simpson has had a bit of work with her pregnancy weight, an extra 70 lbs, after giving birth to daughter Maxwell in May. She didn’t hide the fact that she wants to loose the weight, but sometimes admitting just isn’t enough. Now, however, she has a deadline: September 11, the launch day of the new Katie Couric TV show, which will feature Simpson and will discuss feminine issues like weight loss or dealing with a baby and a career. The 32 year old plans on getting to 130 lbs, so she’s been working out a lot and has eliminated fattening food from her diet. The stakes are high: if she fails to loose the weight, her $4 million contract signing bonus is cancelled. If she does it, though, Simpson becomes a spokesperson for Wight Watchers. We wonder how much money would motivate us to loose all the extra weight around the waist?

The Honolulu born diva rocks a pair of Carrera sunglasses in her 2011 music video “Wet”,  in a sort of sporty-chic combo of massive earrings, hood and star studs. She surely knows what she’s ding, because one year later, Nicole Scherzinger is the latest addition to X-Factor and does everything to stay in the spotlight. Her entrance in the show will be by far the most glamorous one so far, including a luxury yacht and filming at the world’s best hotel, Jumeirah Beach Hotel in Dubai. “It’ll be TV gold when it’s eventually shown,” an insider said. Filming the relatively brief scene took over 90s minutes, during which time the residents of the hotel were forced to wait outside. Displeased, the folks didn’t show much interest in the singer and her X-Factor filming crew.

43 year old Naomi Watts and 27 year old Katy Perry share the same taste when it comes to sunglasses. Academy Awards nominee Watts picked a classic, age appropriate color for the Prada sunglasses, matching them with a nude lip, while MTV’s Artist of the Year 2011 Perry went for a characteristic funky style, with neon green shades and a fuchsia lip. Although the two share a slightly similar fashion gene, they couldn’t be more different – style wise, personal and career wise. After her recent divorce, Perry gave dating a new chance, only to be heartbroken once again: John Mayer dumped her after just a few weeks, just as she was starting to be into him. Meanwhile, Watts makes a couple with Ewan McGregor, but only on the big screen. The two are starring in the drama The Impossible, about a family’s survival of the 2004 tsunami.

No matter how hard she tries to make a name for herself, Coleen Rooney is still best known for being Wane Rooney’s wife and his child’s mother. She tried out different activities such as the fragrance industry (Coleen X and Butterflies are the two perfumes she launched), modelling and design (she’s the face of online catalog Littlewoods) and writing (she had columns in OK! and Closer magazines). Her sunglasses collection also got a new member, with the Jimmy Choo aviators pictured above with a Chanel bag, Vans sneakers and an animal print top.

31 year old Jessica Alba may be a mom, but that doesn’t mean that she doesn’t take time for herself and her best friend, model Kelly Sawyer. The two went out on Monday night and guess who they ran into? Nicole Richie and Nas, so they obviously had to take some pics together! Both Alba and Richie Intstagramed the snapshots over a glass of wine – the former looking cute as ever, and the latter putting on her “bad girl” face. “Just a regular #mondaynight @nasnyc @kellysawyer @nicolerichie”, tweeted the Sin City actress nonchalantly. On the different note, Alba was paired with Pitbull to host the closing night festivities at Democratic National Convention, which will be populated by lots of hispanic celebrities. Even more, after a one year break, you can now finally see Alba in a new film: A.C.O.D., a comedy that will hit theaters this year. And we love to see Jessica sporting cat eye shaped sunglasses from Tory Burch, they just suit her face so well!

Sacha Baron Cohen in Ed Hardy sunglasses

The Dictator‘s clever marketing campaign brought the release of the DVD earlier this week a huge success. Reviewers were sent an envelope from the fictional character General Aladeen, who thanked them in advance for the positive reviews, accompanied by lots of cash from his fictional country. The outrageous satire tells the story of a foreign dictator who would stop at nothing to keep democracy far from his country. “We want to create this new country that is not quite in the Middle East, it’s not quite in Africa, but, you know, it has elements of Gadhafi, it has elements of the United Arab Emirates, it has elements of Turkmenistan. We don’t want it to be specific, but we want it to feel real,” is what  Sacha Baron Cohen told the set designer about the location. A mixture of hilarious, offensive and plain silly jokes, the movie is definitely on our summer watch list. Asked about his controversial movies, Baron Cohen says: ” I don’t know if I’m brave. I think I think in the moment. So when I’m in character, I’m in character, and I’m obviously thinking about what’s going on around me, but it’s easier to do stuff when you’re in character.” Some cool cameos included the presence of Larry King, Megan Fox, Chris Elliot, Fred Armisen and Chris Parnell, in scenes that spice up the movie. Another interesting thing is that Ed Hardy sunglasses make an appearance in the movie, as part of the Dictator’s opulent outfit.
