Benicio del Toro in Persol Sunglasses

Few actors can command a stronger on-screen presence than Benny. That voice, those eyes…pure magic. The Puerto Rican actor/producer started out in the biz playing mostly thugs and drug dealers.  But his career gained ground-shaking momentum in 1995 with his breakout performance in The Usual Suspects, as the mumbling, wisecracking Fred Fenster. A few months later, he stood out among a top-notch ensemble cast in Steven Soderbergh’s Traffic, a complex dissection of the North American drug wars. As the magnetic Javier Rodriguez — a Mexican border cop struggling to remain honest amid the corruption and deception of illegal drug trafficking — del Toro, who spoke most of his lines in Spanish, gave a performance that dominated the film and earned him  an Oscar for Best Supporting Actor. In 2009, he killed it as Che Guevara in the film Che and grabbed a Goya Award for Best Spanish Lead Actor. Among his latest projects, del Toro starred in and produced the 2010 remake of Lon Chaney, Jr.’s classic cult film The Wolf Man. Ryan Phillippe in Prada Sunglasses

Ryan’s acting career began in the ABC daytime drama One Life to Live. But it was his starring role as the venerable and traffic-stopping-sexy, Sebastian Valmont,  in Cruel Intentions that really got heads turning (mainly females). In a word, his performance was, well, “whoa.” He ended up marrying his Cruel Intentions co-star Reese Witherspoon and they spawned two equally-gorgeous offspring–Ava Elizabeth and Deacon Reese. But after more than seven years of marriage–and soon after Reese won her Oscar–the couple divorced. And he didn’t even ask for spousal support–now that’s a real man. Rihanna in Carrera Sunglasses

RiRi makes a fashion statement every she goes and we love that about her. She continues to push the style envelope on the red carpet and on the street. But, the Grammy-winning, Barbadian beauty has had her share of publicity nightmares, i.e. the Chris Brown shenanigans, and she handled them with relative grace and poise. She bounced back in top form with a smash hit album, Rate R,  and world-wide tour (though she needs to watch those stage steps in her stilettos!). Vanessa Minnillo in Tom Ford Sunglasses

When describing Vanessa Minnillo, drop-dead gorgeous doesn’t begin to cover it. She’s a former Miss Teen USA and got her break hosting Total Request Live on MTV and doing New York-based correspondent work for Entertainment Tonight. A military “brat” (dad is American of Italian and Irish descent and mom is Filipino), she moved around a lot before finally settling in South Carolina, where she represented the state in the Miss Teen USA pageant. It comes as no surprise that Maxim magazine listed Minnillo as #15 on its Hot 100 list. Her more recent headlines are the result of being Nick Lachey’s main squeeze with their on / off / on-again relationship. Hunky Kellan Lutz has the Twilight Saga francise to thank for his new-found fame. He’s best known for his role as Emmett Cullen, the fun-loving big bro in the illustrious vampire family. But as one can easily imagine given his chiseled physique and pouty lips, he got his start as a model for Abercrombie and Fitch. Jess’s media woes seem to never end. Charlie Sheen in Persol Sunglasses

Charlie lights it up on the big and small screens. Who can forget his perfomance in the Vietnam War flick, Platoon. Or when he replaced Michael J. Fox on Spin City. And we just love him as the dry-witted, condescending Charlie Harper in the CBS sitcom Two and a Half Men. But the drama surrounding Charlie Sheen’s personal life as of late has been monumental. First he was accused of  holding a knife to his current wife, Brooke’s  throat, on Christmas Day, no less. He was charged with third-degree assault. Quite frankly, it’s hard not to oft wonder what happened to that cute lil’ pig-tailed girl from the “Baby One More Time” video. Her world-wide pop-icon status, bazillions of record sales and music industry awards, clothing and perfume deals out the ying yang, and even a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame couldn’t ward off all the cray cray she embarked upon. Between the marriage to Kevin Federline, the babies, the divorce from Kevin Federline, losing custody of her babies, Daddy taking over her bank account, and the paparazzi shenanigans (e.g., that famous head-shaving incident), it seemed things could never get back on track. But with a new hit album–Circus–and a new man in her life–her former Manager–Britney is well on her way to hitting her stride again.
